NEWS FROM THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

HELD 9thOCTOBER 2007

 

At the AGM, held at Wellworthy’s Sports and Social Club, Chairperson Bev Fournier reported on the past year.  Some of the highlights were:

 

·     Swim 21 Accreditation

·     Swimmers 4th in Cotswolds A Final

·     Advertising for paid Head Coach in partnership with Somerset Activity and Sports Partnership (SASP)

·     Support of all Volunteers and Committee members remained strong

·     Senior swimmers volunteering on Poolside and teaching alongside Coaches and Teachers

 

Bev told the members present that she was standing down as Chair and Mark Pring was voted in as Chair Person for this year.  She also thanked the Committee members standing down this year – Frances Barr and Debbie Kyd.

 
          

Sandie Anderson presented the financial report and recommendations for Subscription and Fees for 2008.

These were agreed as:

 

Membership

Category 1 swimmer

- Learn to Swim – no competitions                                                        £17.00 per annum

Category 2 swimmer

 - Competitive swimmers – including Speedo & Cotswold Galas   £20.00 per annum

Associate Member                                                                               £ 7.00 per annum

 

Fees

1 swim per week - (Learn to swim)                                    £10.00 monthly    (£120 per annum)

2 swims per week (max) - (Learn to swim)                      £16.00 monthly    (£192 per annum)

Development/Junior Squads - Up to 3 swims per week      £19.00 monthly    (£228 per annum)

Senior Squads - 5 swims available per week                    £22.00 monthly     (£262 per annum)
