New Season

As the new season arrives I am looking forward to an exciting year.  I have high expectations for all swimmers, helpers, teachers & coaches and with everyone committing to work hard we will continue to move forward.  I am delighted with the way we as a club have progressed over my first 6 months and want us to continue to improve and not rest on our laurels.  Attending all sessions possible is a must for everyone, working intelligently at those sessions as individuals and as a team will vastly improve your skills, speed & fitness.  There are no short cuts in swimming HARD work and COMMITMENT are the ways for you to reach your potential both in and out of the pool.

Open Meets

Every swimmer in every squad can and should attend open meets as this is a part of everyone’s development as a swimmer and the bigger the team we take to each meet, the better the individuals and team will perform. Please speak to your squad coach about attending meets.  SD1, SD2 & those of correct age in Potential should be attending the Bristol North open meet.  All swimmers with entry times should be entering the Tiverton, Exeter and Avalon open meets over the coming months.  Open meets are part of the training programme and development of swimmers.

Squad Kit

Please can all swimmers make sure that they have the correct squad training kit and bring it with them to all training sessions?  Kit lists are available; all kit can be purchased at the club shop.

Sponsorship

The club is actively seeking sponsorship to help with ever rising costs, if you work for a company or know anyone who might be interested in sponsoring our swimming club no matter how large or small the amount please can you speak to a committee member.

Helpers

Our club is always on the look out for people who can spare some time to help out.  We have a fantastic voluntary workforce behind the scenes and would like to add to that.  Even if you think “I know nothing about swimming” that’s ok because everyone has skills that will be of use to the club.  We not only want people to help poolside but behind the scenes as well, where any help is greatly valued and appreciated, so come and join our merry band of volunteers and help all our swimmers, teachers, coaches and helpers reach their potential and have fun along the way.     LET’S MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!!!!      And with your help we will.
