Barham in fine form
to take regional sprint title |
 |
Jess Barham produced a superb
performance to win the 16 years age group category
at the Regional Sprint Championships in Gloucester.
Several of our swimmers
recorded personal best in the event and had to swim
50m and 100m sprint races in each stroke. The
swimmers were awarded points for each race,
depending on their time and age.
New swimmer Dacre Capstick took
second place in the 16year old boys group.
Other swimmers Alicia Symes,
Emma Whitemoor, Helena Taylor, Sam Young and Beth
Newton also impressed during the competition.

Club Nights
Members have asked for a
'Club Night' whereby swimmers can train together
and mix with swimmers from other squads, parents
can meet other members with children swimming in
different squads and coaching staff/poolside
volunteers are able to exchange ideas and
teaching tips.
The Committee
also felt that these evenings would be a good
opportunity to hold fundraising and social
activities. Please support the Volunteers
running these events.
