Cotswolds
event held at Kings of Wessex Leisure Centre
Cheddar Saturday 23rd Jan- Hosted by BASC
A BIG thanks to all for helping to make
yesterday's gala run so smoothly.
These events take a lot of
volunteers to carry them off, not just on
poolside but the less glamorous jobs like
door, recorders, runners etc,
Special thanks go to Scott Gibbs and little
Scott Fletcher who worked tirelessly during
the gala as announcer and runner
respectively.
The pool staff asked me to pass
on their thanks for the clean state that the
pool and changing area were left in. They
commented that it was the cleanest they
remember the place being left after a gala,
so credit to all clubs, helpers and
swimmers.

The club
no longer
runs
a
Learn to Swim programme - However
in September 2009,
we
began working in Partnership
with
Somerset Activity and Sports Partnership (SASP)
who are providing a Learn to Swim Programme
at Quantock Lodge.
SASP are independent from the club
and administer these courses via their base
at Hestercombe House. Bridgwater Swimming
Club
provide
some support for these lessons through
volunteer Teachers/Helpers.
If your child wants to Learn to Swim then
please contact SASP - there is a Link to
their website (SASP LEARN TO SWIM) on the

Is there anyone out there that
has time to
bring these scrap books up to
date and to cut out articles from the Mercury/print from

Young
Volunteers Programme
The
programme involves young volunteers from Swim 21
clubs in the South West region assisting with
activities within a club environment. The aim
is to gain an insight into the role, structure and
management of a voluntary sports club.
The young volunteers will all
complete additional development opportunities such
as
club timekeepers
and
Judge Level 1 courses
(or discipline equivalent), team
manager training,
